Tangents

::Tangents is the collection spot for the things we're thinking about, obsessively researching, and doing at home and on the web.

Laura's tangents

We spent a lot of time outdoors this weekend enjoying our most sizable snow fall this winter:

(Say, this building we are making is really starting to look like a house!)

I've spent way to long making glittery valentines this week-more to come on these on Monday:

Katie's tangents

I've been thinking and reading about riding bikes with my kids again. Though not to rationalize, starting in February might be tough with an out-of-shape mom and two less-than-enthusiastic kiddos. Maybe March?

"Car Children" learn less in school.

May have found a perfect breakfast nibble.

Also, we did love this hummus with the extra added step of emulsifying the tahini with the juice and bean cooking liquid added for good measure- it sure was smooth hummus! I also liked that there were no spices. Cumin is usually a given when I make hummus, but it's so nice and light without it. Yum.

Is it too early to be looking for signs of spring? I say no, despite Laura's photos to the contrary. My hens have started laying again.

And post-molting they look so fresh and fine.
