Lattice Dress

Laura just finished the crocheted cotton and fabric dress! We think it is a success. We wanted the dress to fit a bit more trimly than the dress we were inspired by, so she drafted a gentle A-line shape.

The fabric Laura used is a lightweight ikat cotton.  The dress uses 2 yards of fabric and just over 1 skein of Blue Sky Alpaca's organic cotton yarn.

We're working on the pattern and instructions and hope to post the free pattern here soon, it really is a quick project and so there will be plenty of time left this Summer to wear it.

Laura made this dress to fit her, and it's about a US size 4. The dress has a good bit of ease, so while we will only be offering the free pattern in one size, we think it would fit women down to a size 2 and up to a size 8. The dress is made up of a crocheted cotton yoke and 2 identical fabric pieces. We'll include directions for sewing the French seams and generous blind hem.

 Stay tuned!

Hi, girls, loving the vertical stripes but especially that mesh. May be a bit beyond me though. Dropping in to let you know your Rainbow Wreath has been featured at Craft Chronicles
