Free Crochet Pattern: Shisha Mirror Pendant Necklace

I preface this pattern by saying I still do not really consider myself a crocheter. And this pattern is really more an idea than a pattern.

But every winter needs more light and color,

And these flash and catch the light in a lovely way.

Even with my sub-par crochet skills, I can make one in about 15 minutes. They would make great little gifts, and I think it would be fun to string a whole rainbow of them together to make a garland. I bought little mirrors at the craft store, you'll need 3/4" or 1" sizes.

Here's the pdf pattern, with detailed how-to photos, I hope you like it! Many thanks to the friendly testers in the Testing Pool on Ravelry, who tested this pattern and caught any glitches.

Lovely! I can think of so many ways to use these little baubles - in little girls' hair, as package ties, as zipper pulls, on strings that turn lights on and off, on the dog's collar, as Christmas tree garland, and on and on. Maybe I'll have to revive my dormant crocheting skills!

I'm trying to make these with DMC Perle 8 and it is not working. Is what you suggest thicker? I assumed they were the same.

Nevermind. I see now that the perle 8 is for the chain :)
