Tangents

::Tangents is the collection spot for the things we're thinking about, obsessively researching, and doing at home and on the web.

Laura's Tangents:

I am teaching a class at our home school co-op on woodworking and building for kids. Katie loaned me two applicable books by Les Walker that I am leaning on heavily as I prepare. He is one of my favorite authors on architecture and house design-makes sense his kids books are good ones! (If you are interested, it looks like you could get used copies cheap on amazon...)

Do you know the website What's That Bug? I refer to it quite often-this week we found a wasp dragging a big spider:

Impressive, huh? Turns out the spider is not dead, just paralyzed, and going to be food for the wasp's larva. Whoa.

When I said I was going to finish my sweater this weekend I forgot I also had two revolutionary war uniforms to make for Halloween....Guess which is taking precedence?

Katie's Tangents:

I'm thinking about this blog post about Art & Craft by Robin Wood.

Listening to Alt J's album on repeat.

I'm jumping back into Twitter. Please leave a comment if you're over there too, I'm looking for some Twitter friends.

Knitting a new hat- Rikke from Happy Knits, using Malabrigo Arroyo. I always forget that garter stitch takes longer. But it's going to be trim and cozy.

My whole week has been a tangent, messing around with wood and wool. More on all of this soon!
