Sewing projects in process-part 2

Ages ago, I started a Tova dress as a gift for my sister Abby. It is finally finished-nothing like a birthday deadline to make me get to work:

I love the gingham, and I knew she would too-it just looks like Abby to me. I had a bit of trouble with the front inset, and redid it a couple of times. I went ahead and Frenched the seams-even the sleeves-with the help of this tutorial.

I appreciated the clear, well written pattern and instructions. Now that I have made one, making another would be easier, and I've got plans to do one for me-I picked up some beautiful linen ticking recently that is rumply and perfect...
