January color

Happy New Year! Here in Kentucky we are getting off to an auspicious start with warm weather and plentiful sunshine, however, I still find the gray and brown of my immediate winter landscape wearisome. After spotting brilliantly green moss glistening in the woods, I  challenged myself to find a spectrum in the our meadow and woods, sure enough:
From left to right this is: maple stump sprouts, maple sapling root, bamboo stem, briar cane, and raspberry cane.

I really enjoyed searching out these bits of color on my walks-expect more of my finds here soon-
