My new quilt

I've been waiting to share a beautiful new thing that Laura made me and Michael for our birthdays back in May. I've been waiting until my bedroom is perfectly put together and tidy. I am not sure that is ever going to happen. But I want to show you anyway, so here it is on my porch instead.

Laura and I love anything rainbow, and she designed and pieced this lovely quilt over the winter and spring then had it machine quilted by a local quilter. Most of the pieces came from a large bag of scraps she bought from a friend at last year's Quilt Extravaganza. 

I love the contrast of the colors and the black background,

and the turquoise edging-

It makes me happy every day!
