Secret of Sock Knitting

After lots of false starts in sock knitting where I only knit one of a pair, I think I know the secret for me to actually finish the second sock...

Buy a new skein of yarn as an inducement to finish the old pair so I can begin a new pair!

The Burning Stripes pattern knit up quickly with no troubles. I didn't maintain my unusually speedy momentum from last week, so I only had one done in time for my Monday-night stitching group, but the second one is clicking right along. The new sock yarn is a skein of Noro Silk Garden Sock, colorway S258. I am wondering if I should have purchased something cushier with more wool in it, but I am going to give it a try.
