Flying Snake free knitting pattern

Knit a Flying Snake!

He slithers rather nicely, but he can also fly through the sky! Inspired by another favorite homemade outdoor toy, a sewn copy of a foxtail, this unstuffed snake has a beanbag head which pulls him to earth when he's up in the sky. His tail trails behind and makes for a great game of catch.

This quick-knit would make a great gift for any little boys in your life. It's a hit with my both my 9 and 4 year old.

Thanks everyone! I am happy that you like the pattern. They are quick to knit, I think a scrappy striped one would be fun.

This is going to be the answer to my big dilemma of what to make Antonio for Christmas. Thank you so, so much! I may even make one for my son and grandson - even if my son is all grown up - he is still a boy at heart! Thank you for the pattern. And I love your scrapy idea - got lots of scrapy!

Help!!! I am at the point where you join the head to the body of the snake using the 3 needle method- but when I turn him, so the head is out, the stitches are in garter instead of stockinette-I don't understand.

Any help would be greatly appreciated- Thanks Christina
