Free pattern- Tiny Monkey

So this is week three in my six-week series of free knitting patterns. So far I've posted patterns for the Little Birds and the S.S Guppy, a felted sailboat. This week, I've done a pattern for a Tiny Monkey to ride in the S.S.Guppy. Before I get to the pattern, I have a favor to ask of you- I have lots ideas for more little toys, but also for some functional things for home accessories like mason jar cozies. I don't know what you'd like best. So, in the comments below, please let me know what you would rather see patterns for- toys or home accessories. Either way, I invite you to subscribe to our blog if you haven't already, so you are sure to know about every free pattern I post. This series has been so fun, I might extend it longer than six weeks!

In other big, big exciting news, Laura and I are putting together an ebook of knitting AND sewing patterns for decorations, gifts and toys for the holidays. We've been working feverishly to make it a super-fun and very clear ebook chock full of projects that will delight your family this holiday season. We've got a dozen projects together so far, and next week the ebook will be available for pre-order. How exciting!

Now, on with the show. Click here to download the free knitting pattern for a Tiny Monkey! He's tiny and cute,

But he's also a first-class sailor!

Enjoy!

I can't wait to try this pattern! We call our middle son "Monkey" and his second birthday is this Monday. Perhaps I'll have time to whip up one of these for him. Thanks for the inspiration!

More toys!! I am sure that the home accessory patterns are awesome too,
but this little guy and his boat---I just can't even describe
how adorable they are!! Can't wait to see what you come
up with next---maybe something or someone that monkey
discovers on his sea voyage?!

I am going to be greedy - and say both!
Although the toys are very cute, I have no little ones to knit them for, and home accessories like mason jar cozies are always useful.

But ... big boys like toys too, don't they? ... hmmm.

Whatever you decide.

This pattern was selected as today's Free Knitting Pattern of the Day on Nov 2nd over at The Daily Knitter. It's also posted in our Free Knitting Patterns listings under Toys. A great quick knit for stocking stuffers. Happy Knitting!

Can't wait to try it! Why not post both? I like toys better. It's harder to find them as opposed to those other things.

I vote tiny toys! I was looking for a monkey hat pattern basicly just a size 4 with cute ears... and your monkeys gave me a idea, I was thinking of putting tiny monkeys at the ear flap tie ends....As for the monkey pattern nothing happens when I try to open it, just a blank page... Could you email it to me?? Thanks!
