Katie and I had a fun day out to the Berea Arts Council's Quilt Extravaganza this past Saturday. We enjoyed checking out contemporary art quilts, vintage bed quilts and everything in between. The vendor's market was what we were most excited about, and when we walked in the first thing we saw was:
a stunning wall of hand dyed vintage linens at the booth of Artistic Artifacts. We browsed through booth after booth of fabric and notions, our favorites being the ones filled to bursting with vintage goodies.
Having recently packed up and moved my studio, I was very careful not to go crazy acquiring. I did manage to find a few things... Scraps of kimono silk from Japan-won't the cord make a great necklace or bracelet?
Katie spotted a gallon zip lock bag full of vintage quilt pieces, each one different!
We can't wait to incorporate these prints into new projects, we'll keep you posted!
