Things I'm digging right now

Here's a quick list of some things I wanted to share--

1. I just bought Shannon Okey's new book, The Knitgrrl Guide to Professional Knitwear Design and let me tell you, it was a bargain! If you are thinking about designing patterns or working in the creative field online, you will find something useful in this book. It's great, I am so energized to begin work on a new collection of pattern.s Let the designing commence!

2. I wish I could buy this

For my sister Abby who has spent many a year dipping ice cream. Kerri Wessel of Baublefish hand sculpts her charms and then casts them in sterling silver. She has other ice cream themed charms- I'd pick the banana split for myself!

3. Oh my gosh you guys, I am totally growing cotton in my yard.

It is super-magical and rad. The plant looks like a hibiscus and then it makes these huge seedpods which pop open and make cotton! I'll try to get a good shot of the flowers, they are really pretty. I have half a dozen bolls so far, not really enough to do something with, but still a cool thing to witness.

I am hoping to have some new knitting designs to share later this week, the weather is cooling down a bit which makes working with wool more comfortable!
