There are wood shavings on the couch

I've been squeezing in bits of spoon carving time. The way you can pick up the spoon and carve for a few moments of quiet remind me of knitting. Also, my kids are very interested in the knife, much like they wish they could play with my knitting needles. Hooray for project baskets and high shelves. This is so nifty. I love seeing your progress. This is definitely something I would like to try someday.

You picked this up very quickly! Your spoons look lovely and I can't wait to see some more! Looking forward to the "finished for food" spoons too!
