Ambitious

Me and Katie's sister Abby is getting married at the end of June. Having just finished a quilt, quilts are fresh in my mind. Naturally I'd want to make one for Abby and Josh. The thing is, I've got a matter of weeks. I don't know if it would even be possible to machine piece and hand quilt a bed sized quilt by the happy day. (Especially considering it took me 4 years to get my most recent quilt hand quilted!) I've tracked down the fabric:

I've picked out a pattern, "Lone star reverse repeat" from this book. (The cover looks nuts, I know, but it has great instructions to strip piece stars. I've used this book a couple times already.)
I even have a designated work space in our new little apartment:

 Time to get to work!

Oh my gosh, I LOVE the colors! I feel sneaky that I get to see them beforehand but there's nothing like seeing stuff in person anyhow. I am so excited about this, what a special heirloom in-the-making. Thank you Laura.
