Obscure Craft Book Thursday

While thrifting with my boys yesterday at Berea's Mini Mall in search of a new/used iron-(my old iron did not appreciate being dropped on the floor, and let me know it be smelling like an electrical fire and smoking the next time I tried to use it...)-I spotted a book:

It is full of sewing patterns for vintage 1984 styles, all sewn up with Liberty of London fabrics:

Even though the styling is nutty, the shapes of the clothes are classic, and there are a couple of projects I want to make. The pattern I am planning on trying first is a cowl backed number:

The top is shown here with a matching full skirt in the same fabric.

I'm not planning on using geometric pastel silk...and I can't afford buying Liberty of London fabric. I have some lightweight vintage cotton in my stash, hmm or maybe some hand dyed silk?

This book has a spiral binding, so it lays flat and an envelope of pattern pieces in the back. I'd say well worth the $2.00 I paid-you can find it on Amazon for even less.
