I've had a lovely, productive afternoon: homework in the sun:
Unpacking a couple boxes of, well, boxes:
And finally, finally dealing with the apples my parents brought to Kentucky 2 weeks ago. We made 3 pies and 3 quarts of sauce. Not bad for $6.00 worth of apples! We used our Squeezo Strainer to make the sauce, have you seen one before? It is an amazing hand powered gadget. My boys love it. Cooked, cut-up apples get put in the top funnel, a hand turns the crank, which drives an auger which pushes the apple mush through a screen. The seeds, stems and peel go out one side, and the sauce runs down a shoot into a waiting bowl.
