More help is on the way

A couple weeks ago Katie and her family and our Mom and Dad came out for a visit and to help work on the studio. It is such an encouragement to have help, especially so much of it at once! My Dad put up some blocking for the siding to be nailed to:

Strider and Michael finished framing the window seat-building the walls on the ground and then putting them in place:

Katie and Mom worked on the windows:

I primed some of the window frames. Our kids are getting old enough to play pretty independently and need minimal input from us grown ups, which is a great development! We finished our day with the obligatory creek visit and a simple seasonal meal of all kinds of veggies from our garden and CSA and a couple of pans of corn bread. What fun. If we could do this every weekend the studio would be finished by now!
