More knitting, more rain, new pattern

Hooray! I published the pattern for the Nesting Dolls yesterday. I am pleased with how they turned out. Their faces and bellies...

Their graduated sizes....

And the way they nest together!

It is cold and rainy in Kentucky and I've been making projects for my family to keep us all cozy. I just bought a new slipper pattern from French Press Knits

They are the French Press Felted Slippers. Aren't they adorable? I am almost done with the knitting and hope to have them ready to wear this weekend- though I guess it will take a while for them to dry. I think they will make great Christmas gifts. Melynda, the designer, is self-publishing this pattern and it's so fun to support other independent designers and get to make such great projects.

I also made some armwarmers from a great free pattern by Leslie at A Friend to Knit With. I knit them using beige wool and planned to dye them post-knitting. They are so warm and cozy though, I started wearing them already. Maybe if we have a warm spell I can take them off long enough to add some color!
