Bring your hammer

Just before Christmas I got an incredible early gift. I received a check for $3000- to build a little studio for myself from the Kentucky Foundation for Women. KFW’s mission is “To promote positive social change through varied feminist expression in the arts”. Coming from an eco-feminist mindset this means I will be attempting to make a “green” little building with myself being the primary laborer. Here are the initial drawings I submitted with my grant application:

I am currently in the process of redesigning it to be smaller and portable, but the look will be similar. I’ll share my progress here of course. Looking forward to building a little dollhouse, I mean architectural model based on my final drawings…
